Social Networking: Better or worse than the real thing?

           Online Social Networking is a new phenomenon. I ask myself if I am lucky to grow up in this time period? Does this type of Social Networking have positives? and does it have drawbacks? How does Social Networking affect a person's personal life and in what was does social networking help a person further themselves in their career. Would this time period be different if no Social Networking ever existed and what affects would it have.

Blogging 101

This seems interesting as I know what what blog is but never have gotten one or have ever posted. From reading around blogs can be about anything you want them to be from talking about personal situations to speaking what is going around the world. I am not really active in the Internet Social world as I have always preferred direct communication, because of that reason I will look around to see other blogger's style and see where is goes from there.
